What a fun Workshop Sunday we had today!!! Campers got some extra time to sleep, and an extra sweet treat at breakfast this morning. At breakfast, counselors got up to announce all of the workshops being offered throughout the day, and campers quickly planned their day around what they most wanted to do. We even had a quest artist visit us in the Art Barn, to teach a cool painting workshop with fossils.
North campers and CITs had a workshop to bake blueberry muffins, using fresh blueberries from the berry picking trip earlier in the week. The pool was open, and campers flocked to air conditioned spaces to get out of the sun and have fun learning something new. Lunch was a variety of pizzas! Everything from your traditional plain and pepperoni, to veggie, basil mozzarella, and more! With sweet potato fries on the side, campers were going up for seconds and thirds! Needless to say, it was a great day.
Tonight, our evening activity at the Bunk Area was “PANIC!” Panic is a game that’s all about creativity, improvisation, and a whole lot of laughter. Campers had 2 minutes to create a “scene” based on a word or phrase a panel of judges gave them each round. With challenges like “Impersonate Tracy Power” to “Your favorite scene from a Disney Movie”, there were some amazing – and hilarious – results!
Tomorrow we’re back to a regular class schedule, and will be welcoming in a guest artist for the evening activity. Be sure to keep up with us on CampInTouch, where we’re posting photos every day!
