We all know that Appel Farm is a magical place to spend the summers; a place to make art, memories, and friends. But have you ever wondered what happens at Appel Farm when you leave?
What happens to your bunk, the swimming pool, the theatre, and all your other favorite camp places? Do they grow dusty and unloved when you go home?
NO WAY!
Appel Farm’s mission is “to provide people of all ages, cultures and economic backgrounds with a supportive, cooperative environment in which to explore the fine and performing arts.”
We believe that the arts are an exciting and essential part of the learning process and that artistic talent is innate and waiting to be developed in every person. Based on this belief, it is our goal to transform as many lives through the arts as possible by utilizing our beautiful residential facility year round.
Whether we are hosting conference groups, arts-based retreats, onsite classes, or festivals, Appel Farm is just as full of life, love, and art in the non-camp season as it is in the summer. We have had the pleasure of working with a variety of groups and partners to bring dynamic programming to our site year round. We also work closely with several school partners on long-term artist residencies, curricular partenrships, afterschool and other programs.
Pretty awesome huh!? To learn more about all of our great year-round programming, check out our beautiful new website.
