  • What is one of your favorite things about Appel Farm? Probably the people. We’re all pretty chill.
  • What is one thing your camp friends don’t know about you? I have an obsession with cats.
  • What is something that you are proud you’ve done this year since camp? I started taking wheel throwing classes outside of camp.

  • What are your favorite Majors or Minors? Theater Performance and Creative Writing
  • What is one of your favorite things about Appel Farm? The people, man. The people you meet are why you make all the awesome memories you take home with you.
  • What is one thing your camp friends don’t know about you? Can’t stand dramatic theater. Which is weird because I’ve been in so many of those.
  • What is something that you are proud you’ve done this year since camp? I’ve been working on my book, the inspiration for which came while I was at my first year of Appel Farm. And I’m almost done

Alumna Amy Zipkin, from Wynnewood, PA, USA, was a camper from 2000-2006.

  • What is one of your favorite things about Appel Farm? Everyone is friendly and campers are free to express themselves.
  • What is one thing you learned at camp that you use in your life today? Problem-solving skills
  • How are the arts incorporated into your life now? I do theatre and art activities with the children I teach.
