What do you remember about the carnivals you attended as a child?

If you are an Appel Farmer, you might remember waiting in a really long and totally worth the wait line for your Psyku, sticking your hand in gross stuff, marrying your best friends and then adopting them to create a super weird family tree, answering Ben Fink’s insanely difficult theater trivia questions, eating cotton candy, or getting your face painted.

For sure you’d remember climbing into a trash can to face your friend — also in a trash can — for the most Appel Farm pillow fight ever…the Trash Can Pillow Fight. Southies have a lower center of gravity, but CITs have a longer reach. Dance majors might be more graceful, but Tech majors might calculate the best angle. It’s really anyone’s fight.

It’s hard to know if you will be good at it before you try, and it’s so funny that so many of us assume (incorrectly) that we will win. There are always so many surprised people laying on the ground, toppled out of their trash cans! Can you find our Executive Director, Cori? She is one of those surprised Appel Farmers!
