This past week proved to be another successful week here at Appel Farm Arts Camp!
The week started out with some bunk activities so everyone had the chance to meet everyone they get to spend their next few weeks with.
Tuesday brought guest artists to our camp to show our departments another perspective on their crafts. Spencer Cunningham visited our photography department to give our campers some pointers on capturing the perfect shot. Comic artist, Lisa Franklin, also stopped by the creative writing and visual art departments to help teach our stand-up comedy and sketch ad comic strip writing minors. Our campers loved learning some new tips and tricks from people in their field of study.
Our Friday included one of our classic Friday Night Concerts where our campers had the opportunity to show of their talents with poetry, music, acting, visual art, and much more!
Tonight was Night at the Races, the newest installation here at Appel Farm. Our campers had to vote on their counselors while the counselors participated in field day-like games such as egg toss, hula hoop races, and leap frog. If the campers voted for the winning team, they were awarded Bunk Bunks to win prizes for their bunks!
Tomorrow, our campers are going on various trips with their bunk areas, and they could not be more excited!
