Rising Young Artist Scholarship Program
Thank you for your interest in our Rising Young Artist Scholarship Program.
We are accepting applications for Camp 2021. You can apply here: Camp 2021 Scholarship Application.
As a non-profit camp, Appel Farm is committed to making camp accessible for all families. It is our goal to connect creative kids and young artists to our high-quality, immersive summer arts program. To help them find their art; find their people, and find themselves.
With a wide range of awards, from 5% to 100% of tuition, our dynamic scholarship program can help make camp a reality for your child. Our message is, if you are having trouble affording camp, we want to help.
We offer both financial and merit-based awards through various funds and partnerships with a wide range of selection criteria. To make the process as simple as possible, campers do not need to apply for specific scholarship funds. Instead, families apply through our general Appel Farm Scholarship Application, and we work with our partners to make awards.
Applications are accepted on a rolling basis between October 1st – May 31st, though award notifications do not start until January. Applications must be submitted by the first of the month to be considered during the next 30-day cycle. Funding is limited and awards are made on a first-come, first-reviewed basis so it is better to apply as early as you are able to make a commitment to camp.

This summer, Appel Farm Arts Camp is opening at 50% capacity due to the pandemic; therefore our typically robust scholarship program is also smaller. It’s also more important that every scholarship is fully funded to ensure that Appel Farm comes out of the pandemic fiscally healthy. This form is designed based on a typical summer, and so despite your eligibility, you may not be eligible for an award for Camp 2021. This summer, most of our funding comes with additional eligibility criteria, and applicants from Camden and Newark, New Jersey; the eight counties of Southern New Jersey; and Philadelphia, Pennsylvania are more likely to be awarded. Applicants from elsewhere are not likely to be awarded, and are encouraged to apply for Camp 2022.
