Lazy Sunday, One Week Showcase, and Kiln Firing!

Hello Parents!  Another Lazy Sunday has fallen upon us once again.  Appropriately enough, it is also Pajama Day!  After their breakfast of donuts and danishes, the kiddos are lounging around in their pajamas with their friends.  For those who feel like being a little more active, we will be having workshops today!  Some examples of our great workshops would be: Bracelet Making, Voice Projection, Found Materials, Sketch on Location, Blues Harmonica, Informal Music Making, Sad Slip and Slide, It’s Not Face Painting Mom and many more.  The kids are enjoying their much deserved day of free time.

Another great option for campers today is attending the One Week Showcase!  This is a short showcase display what our one week kiddos learned.  Sadly our one weekers will be leaving us today; we’ve really loved having them and we hope they return next year for a longer period of time!

Tonight is the Camper Counselor Concert!  The campers get to choose one or more counselors that they would like to perform with.  This is the second and the last Camper Counselor Concert of the session and it’s going to be great!

Yesterday the ceramics campers had the opportunity to fire their pieces in the kiln.  This was a whole new experience for many of the campers and they really enjoyed it.  For kids who have taken ceramics here before, the firing is what they have been looking forward to all session!  Pictures can be viewed tonight in the classes album for July 15.

The Dinner Dance Photos are uploading now up on CampInTouch!  The kiddos had a ball ordering their counselors around during dinner.  It is one of our greatest traditions to ask the counselors to get some of the weirdest things you can think of.  Some of the requests last night included a bowl of cheese(half full), a bowl of salt, and an Uncrustable sandwich inside an Uncrustable.  The campers certainly have some very healthy imaginations!  After dinner they all danced the night away!   We have a couple of great conga lines going, maybe even record breaking in length with almost every person at the dance joining in!  They dance ended with a beautiful group sing along of Bohemian Rhapsody.  Definitely make sure you check out those photos!
