Last night was very exciting for us all…it was our first Friday Night Concert of camp! We got to see so many amazing acts by campers. We saw singing, dancing, gymnastics routines, and some stand-up comedy! It was great to see all the hidden talents that our campers have, and to see how brave they are to perform it in front of so many people. But here at Appel Farm, it is always a supportive crowd that encourages everyone to try new things even if it is a little scary. We also got to learn the Appel Farm song, which is a tradition at the end of every Friday Night Concert.

Yesterday was also our Department Trips, where each department gets to go off camp during majors to explore new places. Our theater department got to travel to Philadelphia’s historic Walnut Street Theater, and photography went shooting at Rittenhouse Square. The Musicians performed for a crowd at a local senior’s center, and our visual arts department got to go to the Noyes museum to see some amazing art work for inspiration. The Sports & Swim crowd went to a state park for a relaxing day of swimming and exploring. Photos from all of the trips will be added later on, so don’t forget to check back tomorrow!
