It was another fun-filled day at Appel Farm today. We’ve been working super hard in our majors and minors, and getting settled into the camp routine. Our photography students have been out taking pictures, and some of them are already on their way to making prints. Our plays were announced for the theater department, which we’ll provide more details on soon, and the campers have started rehearsals. It looks like we’re in for an exciting performance week! Our rock band have picked out their songs and started jamming. Our drawing & painting students have their artwork in full swing. Some are working on self-portraits, others comics, and some are making beautiful paintings of flowers.

We also had some guests this afternoon. The drum corps, Jersey Surf, who are practically neighbors to Appel Farm, stopped by to show us their stuff. There were almost as many of them as there are campers here at Appel Farm, so it was definitely a packed house. We got to catch a peak into their performance by the color guard, drum line and horns. It was amazing to see even more talent come to camp!

Tonight we enjoyed some bonding time with our bunks for Bunk Activities. Every bunk chooses something to do together, and it’s a great way to spend time getting to know each other better and to do something as a group, which can be hard to do when we’re all so busy! Check out the photos to see what everyone spent their time doing this evening.
