It’s hard to believe that we are halfway through the first week of camp already! We’re getting into the groove of our majors and minors, and everyone is getting started on their art projects, songs, and plays. Last night we had our staff concert, where members of the staff could come up on stage to show the campers their (sometimes hidden) talents. It was a great first concert of camp, and there were a lot of talented acts. Take a look at the photos to see some of the instructors showing how passionate they are in the art they are sharing with the campers.

It was a very exciting morning for our theater majors, because this session’s musicals and plays were announced. We’ll be giving more info about those in an upcoming post so you can see what is in store for performance week! Our Rock Band major is super popular this summer, and the bands have been split up to work on the songs they’ll be performing in the coming weeks. If you listen carefully while walking through camp, you might be able to hear the electric guitars, horns, and drums in the distance. Tonight was our department workshops as well, where any camper has the opportunity to sample what the different departments on camp have to offer. Our music department had an instrument swap, there were water aerobics in the pool, photography made camera-less photograms in the darkroom, and the video department was there to document it all.

Stay tuned for tomorrows post to see what is going on with classes and to find out what we have for the evening activity!
