Although we said goodbye to our 2-week campers yesterday, we also gained a bunch of new ones! 27 new campers have joined us for the week, and it is great to see some new faces around camp. We also got to see some old familiar faces, as yesterday was visiting day where our families could come to see what camp life is like, or take their campers off camp for some treats and time to spend with loved ones. We had a lot of great workshops around the different departments on camp, including a Musical Theater Sing-a-Long, swimming in the pool and sports on the tennis and basketball courts, and some cool cyanotypes with the Photo Department (just to name a few). The campers who didn’t have family visiting for the whole day also got to take an off-camp trip to one of the best ice cream shops you can find! Things only got better, as the night ended with our Carnival. Counselors set up tons of cool booths for the kids to participate in, and there was even a cotton candy machine! Some of the campers got portraits drawn of themselves, got their nails painted, got their fortunes read, and even got “married”. All in all, it was another great day on camp, and we can’t wait to spend the rest of the week with some brand new faces!
