Throw a pot, paint a mural, sculpt your wildest dreams, plant a garden, build a robot. Possibilities are endless when you let your imagination take the lead.

If you are interested in organic gardening, camp conservation, ecology, and environmental art, consider joining the Green Corp, offered as both a major and minor.
- Green Corps will be offered during Major II, and one or both minors.
Our most popular past minor, Green Corps Explorers, combines the best of Green Corps (nature, gardening, bugs, and activism), creative and personal journaling, and multi-media. You’ll get to explore the world around you in a fun and exciting way!
Appel Farm’s newest program is a perfect blend of artistic design and technology, and tons of fun!
LEGO® Robotics and Design
Appel Farm Arts Camp has spent over 55 years enriching the lives of young artists through the arts! Last summer we were excited to join the S.T.E.A.M. initiative as we launched our LEGO® Robotics and Design program!
LEGO® Robotics and Design runs as both a major and minor activity within the setting of our engaging and nurturing traditional overnight, arts camp. Participants collaborate in groups to design and build a unique LEGO® Mindstorm robot. Once built, campers develop and program creative solutions to obstacles with the robots using EV3 programming software.
This fun and high-tech program seemlessly blends art and technology exposing campers to science, technology, engineering, arts, and math while developing 21 century learning and innovation skills. The program encourages campers to practice collaboration, critical thinking, and communication in a creative way.
- LEGO® Robotics and Design is offered during at least one major, and one minor period.
